Burke loves the attention and even lets on that he plans to publish his own book detailing elements he did not share with Cindy. Inspector Sonia Alvarez is in her early thirties, a leggy brunette recently relocated from Las Vegas MPD, where she used her street smarts working undercover in Vice.

Lindsay discovers that not only is there no trace of the criminals - but that the victim may be keeping secrets. Truth be told, I had low expectations when starting this novel, but I came away pleasantly surprised and pleased with it. It's hard to review a series written by a master storyteller and not repeat concepts or say something original. Lindsay Boxer, Cindy Thomas, Claire Washburn and Jill Bernhardt, the stars of 1st to Die and 2nd Chance, are the founding members of the Women's Murder Club. Smart characters, shocking twists' Lisa Gardner'Lots of clever links in the breakneck plot' Cork Evening Echo'This crime drama races along in short, action-packed chapters' My Weekly______________The Sunday Times bestsellerA city in flames and a trail gone cold .Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Detective Lindsay Boxer put serial killer Evan Burke in jail and Reporter Cindy Thomas wrote a book that put him on the bestseller list. I started it not long after finishing a truly epic read and had high hopes that I’d love this story.

On a personal level, I must admit that his Women’s Murder Club series – focused on the professional and personal lives of four women in San Francisco - has been very hit and miss over the last couple of years with more weak outings than not. Lindsay realizes that the only way to stay ahead of Blackout and figure out what his intentions are is to involve Burke, who is now on death row.The characters a came across as quite one dimensional and I struggled to connect with them or feel anything towards them. With the novel moving along at a nice pace, I was initially distracted by this storyline until Patterson and Paetro brilliantly tie it together with the Blackout narrative. Detective Lindsay must track this elusive suspect before the entire Murder Club faces complete destruction. A serial killer emulates the crimes of a recently incarcerated mass murderer, hoping to lure Detective Lindsay Boxer and her SFPD team into a game of cat and mouse.

From hospital murders to explosive court battles, the Women's Murder Club takes on their most harrowing challenge yet.She loves yoga, jazz music and, like her friend Lindsay Boxer, loves to read travel books and mysteries—she's even a member of a book club. Jack discovers another murder in Moscow that appears to be linked, sinking his deeper and deeper into a conspiracy that could have global consequences. She excels at working from the shadows until a field operation reveals the dark dealings between her bosses and an informant. Not a great one, but a solid improvement over several of the previous half dozen, building on the multi-book arc involving Evan Burke. This year’s outing - “The 23rd Midnight”- has three primary plots – Lindsey’s police team’s hunt for a serial killer, Cindy’s troubled book tour, and Yuki’s courtroom case involving a battered wife.

Smart characters, shocking twists' Lisa Gardner'I couldn't turn the pages quick enough' Heidi Perks'Terrific, high-octane, really pacy' Jo Spain'A compelling read with great set pieces and, most of all, that charismatic cast of characters'Sun______________The Sunday Times bestsellerWill she live to see her twenty-first birthday? I’m sure a fan would dispute this and maybe there were subplots drifting over from previous books or hidden amoungst the words, but sadly this book was just dull. It is a chilling story that hits too close to home for Boxer and the rest of the women's murder club. He is not only obsessed with the killer Cindy wrote about, but he is also using the book as a guide, with embellishments of his own. This book stayed consistently busy, moving back and forth between the multiple storylines, and keeping a strong pacing the whole way and avoiding the choppiness and messiness of recent outings. The bestselling 8th novel in the Women’s Murder Club seriesA MASSACRE OF ELITESBehind the closed doors of San Francisco's grandest mansions, beautiful people party the nights away in a hedonistic haze of money, drugs, drink and sex. At times, it has lost steam, including superficial and ludicrous serial killer villains, repetitive and formulaic storylines that have grown old, and stagnant growth in most of the primary characters. Not only is the name creepy, he is following in the footsteps of the infamous and imprisoned serial killer Evan Burke.
