I have been doing a lot of Indian style cooking recently, and wanted to try some Chinese style cooking to see if I could do it…. The chicken spent 24 hrs in the marinade, then the recommended time in the oven, had the right temperature when taken out. Yes, you can just drop the chicken with all of the marinade straight in the slow cooker and cook like that. Our favourite is using the air fryer oven and the air fryer chicken gyro, that was spectacular, or another lamb kebab favourite is the air fryer lamb koftas. It's perfectly safe to use the marinade as long as you cook it, and anything that was in the marinade, the chicken, the potatoes that you want to add, will be perfectly safe to eat after cooking.
